A good addition disappears. Rooflines that resolve cleanly, siding that courses through, windows that match sightlines, floors that meet without a step you have to explain. Will an addition match our existing house?
That is the whole job. We match roof pitch, eave depth, siding exposure, window proportions, and trim profiles — and when the original material is no longer made, we get to the closest modern equivalent and show you samples before ordering.
Do we have to move out during construction?
Usually not. Most additions are built weather-tight from the outside before we open the wall between old and new, which keeps the disruption to weeks, not months. We will tell you the realistic disruption window during scoping.
Can our septic and lot handle an addition?
That is the first thing we check — bedroom count is tied to septic capacity in Massachusetts, and lot coverage and setbacks vary by town. We confirm feasibility before you spend money on design, not after.
